Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris born October 20th 1964) is an American politician and attorney who is currently the 49th vice president of the United States. She is the first female vice-president as well as the highest ranking female official of the United American. As a part of the Democratic Party, she previously served as attorney general for California from 2011 to 2017 and was an United States senator representing California between 2017 and 2021. Harris was born and raised in Oakland, California. Her professional career started in the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. Harris was later recruited to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office. In 2003, she was appointed district attorney for San Francisco. In 2010, Harris was elected Attorney General for California. She was reelected in 2014. Harris was the junior United States Senator from California between 2017 until 2021. Harris defeated Loretta Sanchez to become the first African American woman senator and the first South Asian American ever to be elected to the United States Senate. She was a senator who advocated for healthcare reform and federal de-scheduling cannabis. The path to citizenship for undocumented migrants.
